TOWNSHIP CLEANUP DAY

Bethel Township’s annual Cleanup Day is Saturday, June 15 from 8:00 till noon (or when the dumpsters are full) at the old Park Layne School site, 620 Cliffside Dr.

We will accept large items like furniture, construction and demolition debris, appliances, etc. We CANNOT ACCEPT any hazardous waste (pesticides, paint, oil, etc.), limbs or yard waste, bagged household trash, or electronics. There is a limit of 10 tires per household with a fee of $2 per tire off rim or $5 per tire on rim. There is a $5 fee for appliances with coolant, like refrigerators, air conditioners, and freezers.

BE PREPARED TO SHOW PROOF OF RESIDENCE.

MATERIALS LEFT BEFORE OR AFTER THE PROGRAM WILL BE CONSIDERED ILLEGAL DUMPING.

Special Meeting Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 pm

The Bethel Township Trustees will have a brief special meeting this Saturday, Feb. 2, at 1:00 p.m. in the fire station at 3333 Lake Rd., Medway The purpose of the meeting is to approve payment and delivery of a new medic unit which was ordered last year and is now ready to be picked up. This meeting is open to the public.

Rain, snow, freezing rain, ice, and fog are all forecast over the next several days, topped off with a winter storm over the weekend that could bring significant snowfall. During last Saturday’s storm our fire department responded to eleven weather-related accidents; they ask that you drive slowly and stay safe this week.
